About Me

Hello there! Welcome to my blog! It's the place where I attempt to post about my experiences as I travel down this road called life. Really what this blog's about is my dream of writing. I've been writing since I was young, possibly six years old. I've always found such joy in crafting the stories, discovering who the bad guy is, figuring out how to make a scene work. I've always been into creative stuff, and writing is the perfect thing. In writing, I can make the story do whatever I want. The character follows my commands. Ha. It sounds really silly. What I'm trying to say is this: In writing you have the freedom to take the story wherever you want it to go! Whether you're C.S. Lewis, and want to go to Narnia, or J.R.R Tolkien and thinking of middle earth. Maybe you dream of a story about a teenager accidentally getting caught up with a mob. The thing about writing is this, you can make your dream a reality! And it's so much fun to see your characters come to life! And to fall in love with these characters.
I like to describe myself as an author, actress, and even a singer. The Lord has blessed me, and I intend to give him back everything by using every gift he may have given me for His glory. I'm not saying I'm exceptional in any of these things, but I enjoy doing them, and I feel like God has put this desire in me for a reason. I hope whatever I post will be a blessing or help to everyone who reads this.

The most important thing about me is this: I love the Lord! He is my savior! He died for me, so that I can go to Heaven one day. And then, He rose again! It's the most beautiful love story I've ever heard. :)

Good Morning Bethany:

My YA Christian Fantasy novel, Daniel and the Sun Sword, was released on November 3 and is traditionally published by Ellechor Publishing House.

I am currently planning a blog tour for December 14th-20th(ish); could I interest you in participating by providing a book review? If there’s not enough time between now and the tour to read and review the book, I have a myriad of other ready-made options for participating: hosting an author interview, link to the trailer plus a summary, guest blog post, or other content (see list below). If you would like more information about the book, you can peruse my website at www.nathanlumbatis.com.

The summary is below, and I can send the Epub file for the book (or other format) upon your request.

The ready-to-post content contained in the Digital Press Kit includes the following:
1) Contact info
2) Bio
3) Synopsis
4) Book cover images
5) Reviews
6) Book excerpt
7) Author Interview

8) Guest Blog Post X 3 (with associated photos, links, videos and author bio).
a. Christianity and Mythology
b. Nuns Versus Lord of the Rings
c. What’s Daniel and the Sun Sword About Anyway

9) Links for Videos X 2:
a. Book Trailer
b. Literary Losers (author interviews the antagonist; humorous)

Thank you,

Nathan Lumbatis

Summary

Thirteen-year-old Daniel is about to be adopted. But when he learns his new family wants him as a slave, he runs away with the help of his new neighbors, the naïve and cowardly Ben, and Raylin, a mysterious girl with a shady past. He begins to second-guess his decision, however, when the cave they hide in transports them to the ruins of Machu Picchu, where they find themselves embroiled in a battle between ancient gods of Life and Death. To top things off, the God of Life draws Daniel into the fray by adopting him as his son and setting him on a quest to complete a broken, mystical sword, a task that will pit him against the god of the underworld.

Now, Daniel and his friends have just one weekend to find the shards before a hoard of supernatural enemies catch up. But that’s not all they face. A trap has been set that even Daniel wouldn’t expect, and he just took the bait. Will the power of his Heavenly Father be enough to save them?
